Description
Castle Mill is a house that was formerly a water-powered mill, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. The building has three storeys, with the third storey being blind at the front. The openings feature segmental heads. On the left side, there are three bays, which include a central loading doorway on the first floor that has been glazed, situated above a ground floor doorway. To the right, there is a fourth bay with a doorway on the ground floor. A fifth bay is located within a rebuilt two-storey lean-to that previously housed the wheel. A chimney is positioned on the front wall to the right of the first bay, and the right-hand gable wall has a window above the roof of the lean-to, providing light to the third storey. The interior is reported to contain no machinery.
