Description

Birley Farmhouse is a house from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped tile M-shaped roof. The building has two storeys and two bays. The windows are timber casements with segmental heads. The entrance door, located between the bays, consists of six panels and is sheltered by an open porch with a lead canopy. There is a brick dentil course at the eaves and end chimneys. The side walls do not show any obvious breaks in the brickwork. The rear facade includes a central pediment and two sashed windows with round heads and Gothick glazing.
