Description
Hayley Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century extension at the entrance front. The older part of the cottage is timber-framed, featuring wattle-and-daub infill and a tiled roof, and consists of three structural bays. It is a single-storey building with an attic that includes dormers. The garden elevation has five ground floor windows, which are 20th-century casements, and four gabled dormers also with 20th-century casements. There is a 20th-century door located in the central bay. The left gable end has a large external chimney with a rubble base and a brick stack that has tiled offsets. The 20th-century extension is made of painted brick with a tiled roof, consists of two bays, and is one storey plus an attic with dormers, featuring 20th-century casements.
