Description

Plum Tree Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with alterations from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with rendered infill and has a thatched roof, with a brick and rubble end stack on the left side. The cottage has 1 1/2 storeys and eyebrow dormers; there are four windows on the ground floor, which are 19th-century casements. The original structure comprises two structural bays, plus a single-bay 19th-century brick extension to the right, where the entrance is located under a thatched porch designed to look picturesque. An 18th-century extension sits to the left, around the base of the stack. The timber frame is composed of three square panels up to the wall plate.
