Description
Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was encased in the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, encasing, and extensions, topped with a thatched roof. The building is two stories high and has five bays, with an 18th or 19th-century bay added to each end. There is a 19th-century four-panel door located under an open porch with a thatched roof to the left of the center. To the right of the door are three three-light casement windows, while to the left are two two-light casement windows and two stable doors at the right end. The first floor has timber-stud and pebble dash, with similar windows above each of the ground floor windows. The roof is hipped, featuring a ridge piece and a large stack just to the left of the door, along with stacks behind the ridge at both ends of the original building.
