Description
The K6 telephone kiosk, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a notable example of a standardised design made of cast iron. It is painted red overall and features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with crowns applied to the top panels rather than perforated. There are rectangular white display signs that read "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow curved roof. Although the kiosk is in good condition, it no longer contains any telephone equipment and retains most of its glass windows.
This kiosk is located immediately to the west of the village stores and post office, facing north-west towards the Sparsholt War Memorial, which is also listed as Grade II. Further to the west across the road is the Church of St Stephen, which is listed as Grade II*.
