Description

Taylors Mead is an early 19th-century vicarage, now a private house. It is constructed of stuccoed brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, with a slightly set-back bay added to the right. A wide 6-panel door is set under a flat-roofed porch supported by Doric columns. Originally, tripartite sashes were present in the slightly projecting end bays on each side. The first floor has three 12-pane sashes with sliding louvred shutters. The added bay to the right contains a 12-pane sash on each floor. The roof is hipped, with wide eaves and a ridge stack situated right of centre and on the end walls of the original building. The added bay features a parapet and a hipped roof set behind.
