Description

Oaklands is a former stable that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 17th century and was remodeled in 1984. The building features a timber frame with some brick infill set on a rubble and brick plinth, topped with a plain tile roof. It is one and a half stories tall and consists of two framed bays. The ground floor has two casement windows, and there is a central gabled dormer, all of which were inserted during the 1984 remodeling. The framing includes three rectangular panels that extend high to the wall-plate, and the gable truss has two queen struts supporting the collar with V-struts in the apex.
