Description

Home Farmhouse and the adjoining wall to the south are a farmhouse and wall dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions from the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof with brick stacks at the front and rear of the ridge. It stands two storeys tall and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The farmhouse has four bays, consisting of two original bays and a two-bay addition.

On the ground floor, there is a round-headed 6-pane window to the left and a 2-light casement. The first floor includes a 3-light casement, a 2-light casement, a single-light casement, and another round-headed window in the second bay from the left. Beneath this window is the main entrance, which features a ledged and battened door flanked by narrow sidelights. A lean-to with a catslide roof at the right gable end has a 2-light casement on its front elevation.

The adjoining wall runs south for about 12 yards from the lean-to addition, where it connects to the dairy. This wall is approximately 7 feet high and also has a dentilled eaves cornice. At the north end of the wall, there is a blind round-headed archway with imposts and a pedimented gable above. The farmhouse is part of the Winnington Estate and was formerly the home farm for Stanford Court.
