Description

Home Farmhouse is a mid 18th century farmhouse with 19th and 20th century alterations and additions. It is constructed of brick with a rendered and whitewashed front and has a hipped plain tile roof. The building features a plinth, bands at the first and second floors, rebated eaves, and has two ridge and external lateral brick stacks. It is three storeys high and has a square plan with two bays.

The west front has a slightly off-centre 20th century glazed door with a segmental head, which is flanked by single 20th century bow windows. Above the door, there are two 20th century two-light casements, and above those, two smaller 19th century two-light casements.

On the south side, there is a mid 20th century round-cornered bay window to the left and a four-light 20th century casement to the right. Above these, there is a tall central cross casement, flanked on the left by a three-light sliding sash and on the right by a three-light casement, all with segmental heads. Above again, there are two 20th century casements.

To the right of the farmhouse, there is an adjoining single-storey outbuilding with a gable stack. The outbuilding has a three-light casement on the left and a half-glazed door on the right. Beyond this, there is a single-storey stable range.

On the north side, there is a lean-to rear addition on the left with a close boarded door, flanked to the right by two round-headed iron glazing bar casements. To the right again, there is a half-glazed door and beyond that, two 20th century two-light casements. Above, there are two similar casements.
