Description

Glebe Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with a rear wing added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with a tiled roof and features gable end brick stacks. The building is two stories high with an attic and has three windows. On the ground floor, there is a half-glazed door with a flat wooden hood to the left of center. To the left of this door is a 2-light casement window with a flat arch and keystone, while to the right are two 2-light casements, also with flat arches and keystones, along with a blocked doorway. The first floor has three 3-light leaded casements, and the attic features three flat-headed dormers with 2-light leaded casements. The left side of the house is made of dressed limestone and includes a 20th-century sash window with stained glass and a coped verge. Attached to the right is a former dairy, which is now a kitchen with 20th-century casements. At the rear, there is a half-glazed door and a 16-pane flush sash window to the left. The rear wing has a 6-panelled door with a transom light, 12-pane sashes, and a plat band, while the back of the wing features plate glass sashes and a hipped Welsh slate roof. Inside, the farmhouse has flagstone floors, 6-panelled doors, chamfered beams, and open fireplaces with cambered timber lintels on brick jambs.
