Description

The Old House is a detached house dating to circa 1700, with alterations made in the early 20th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof and brick stacks, arranged in an 'L' shape. The house is two storeys high and has five window bays. Ground floor windows include casements, and a planked door is set within a thatched porch on the right. To the left of the door are a two-light, one-light, and four-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. A moulded string course runs at lintel level, and the first floor has two two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements either side of a bull's-eye window. The right return features early 20th-century square and canted bays with mullioned casements, while the left return and rear of the house have similar windows. The interior was inaccessible during a survey in July 1985.
