Farmhouse. C16 with mid-C19 alterations. Timber-frame with brick infill, plain tile roof, brick end stack to left, lateral stack rear centre. Basically H-plan, hall with unequal gabled cross-wings, larger to right. Two storeys, cellar under right cross-wing; mid-C19 scalloped bargeboards to gables and eaves; 1:2:1 C19 casements to first floor; mid-C19 central gabled porch. Framing: left cross-wing truss: two queen struts to collar, straight angle braces below; right cross-wing truss: four queen struts to collar, straight tension braces in front wall, large curved braces in side wall; hall range has straight angle braces; walls are two square panels high to wall-plate on first floor, ground floor completely rebuilt in brick. Early C19 brick out-building range attached to rear of right wing.
