Description

CASTLEMORTON CP - So 83 NW 5/37 Pigeoncote approximately 50 metres east of 11.8.52 Hillend House GV II

Pigeoncote. Probably early C19 with some later alterations. Stone rubble with some brick dressings and tile roof. Two storeys. North-west wall blind. South-west gable wall has inserted doorway on ground floor with brick reveals, and a window to the upper storey with segmental head and brick reveals. Interior: walls of upper storey contain nesting boxes. Two bolted king-post trusses. Included for group value.
