Description
The pigeon cote located to the south-east of No 110 on Bath Road dates from the 18th century and stands three storeys tall. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins and features a high-pitched modern pantile roof. The gable elevation has windows on two levels, with the upper window being a two-light design that includes a stone mullion and a weathered string course above it. The lower window is a fixed light. A weathered string course runs around the building, extending over the upper window to create a rectangular drip-mould. The window lintel has a shield-shaped depression inscribed with "E.T.17-" (the rest is illegible). On the ground floor, there is a semi-circular archway that is partly blocked. The pigeon cote, along with Maplecroft, its gatepiers, and walls, forms a cohesive group.
