Description
The Old Vicarage is a house that likely dates from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century. It features timber-framing, which is mostly covered in brick, and has a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with a facade that has two bays to the right of a one-bay cross-wing. The windows are sashed and include glazing bars. The outer bays have two-storey canted bay windows. The door, located in the middle bay, consists of six panels with panelled reveals and is set within a Doric pilaster doorcase that has an open pediment and a blind fanlight featuring intersecting Gothick glazing bars. The framing of the cross-wing truss is exposed, showing two struts between the tie-beam and collar. There are chimneys on the right side and on the left-hand wall of the cross-wing. This wall has brick underbuilding on the ground floor and features two single-storey canted bay windows. On the first floor, there is exposed close-studding with a middle rail.
