GV II

House. Probably c1500 with C17 additions. Timber-framing with tile roof. L-plan. One storey with attic. North wall of C17 wing; aligned east/west framed in square panels. To the left of the door it has a window, with a second window to the right under the eaves The east wall of the main range, aligned north/south, is framed in irregular square panels and has one window. To its left is a curved brace. The ends of two inserted ceiling beams are visible. Chimneys on east gable of wing and north gable of main range. This latter gable wall has jowled principal posts, and an attic window between the tie-beam and collar of the truss. The west wall of the main range has a ground floor window with an attic dormer above. To the left is a gabled porch which covers a flight of steps to a cellar. To the right are C20 extensions.

Interior: truss to south of north wall of main range Visible on first floor. This has an arch-braced collar, with one brace now removed, and curved wind-braces. The two other trusses, in this range are cruck trusses.
