Description
Nutbush is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed with timber framing, some brick replacement, and a tile roof. It is designed in an L-plan and framed in square panels, standing two storeys tall. The east wall features a window on each floor, along with a single-storey addition that projects forward to the left. The right-hand (north) gable wall includes a curved tension brace and three windows on the ground floor. The first-floor window, which dates from the 17th century, is ovolo-moulded, has four lights with a transom, and projects slightly, supported by a central curved bracket. The gable truss consists of a tie-beam, two collars, vertical struts, and V-struts. The wing on the west side appears to be an addition and is framed with lighter scantling.
