Description

Quakers Farmhouse is a house, possibly dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed, with some areas rendered, and has a tile roof. The house follows a T-shaped plan. It has two storeys and an attic. The north wall features a gabled wing to the left, which is irregularly timber-framed and has one window on the ground floor, a stair window above, two windows on the first floor, and one window to the attic. A doorway is positioned to the right. The roof truss in this wing has struts between the tie-beam and collar. A two-storey, gabled extension from the 20th century is set into the angle between the wing and the main range. A chimney is located to the left, behind the ridge of the roof. The right-hand (west) gable wall is close-studded and has a jetty. The roof truss here also has struts between the tie-beam and collar. The interior was inaccessible when surveyed in June 1986.
