Description
The Roses, Nut Tree Cottage, and Copley are three houses that were originally one, likely built in the early 17th century. They feature a combination of timber-framing and brick, topped with tile roofs, and are two storeys high. The windows are 20th-century casements.
To the right, there are two gabled wings. The right-hand wing is set back and consists of one bay, showcasing exposed close-studding on the first floor, a slate-hung gable, and a single-storey porch on the left. The left wing is framed in four rows of square panels, also one bay, and has a slate-hung gable.
To the left of these wings is a continuous range, mostly framed in square panels. The right-hand bay of this range is gabled and features a small window to the left of the main ground floor window. The two left-hand bays are single-storey with an attic, with the left bay being entirely of brick. The attic is illuminated by a dormer. There is a single-storey porch situated between the bays. Chimneys are located to the left, next to the two left-hand bays, and aligned with the ridge of the left-hand projecting wing.
