Description
Ladywell is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped tile roof. The building has a symmetrical design with three storeys and three bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and have gauged brick heads, with tripartite windows on the ground floor. Flanking the main structure are single-storey bays, one of which has a blind window.
The house includes a single-storey porch that has a stone cornice and a coping adorned with two ball finials. The timber doorcase features Tuscan pilasters with paterae, a pediment, and a frieze decorated with carved swags and a central winged head. The facade is topped with a parapet that has coping, and there are chimneys at each end. Historical records suggest that the house was referred to as "newly built" in 1820.
