Description

This is an 18th-century pigeoncote, situated off Westgate in North Cave. It is constructed of rubble and has a pantile roof. The building is square in plan. A board door is situated centrally, with a small lean-to addition to the left. A fixed window is located at eaves level. The pyramidal roof is surmounted by a hexagonal cupola, featuring entrance holes designed for birds. Internally, the walls contain brick nesting boxes.
