Description

This building, originally a house and now housing two shops, dates from the mid-18th century and has had some alterations made to the front in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and stone, topped with a pantile roof. The building has a square layout and is two storeys high with two bays. The ground floor features two 20th-century shop fronts, while the first floor has casement windows. The roof is hipped, with an eaves stack on the right and a central ridge stack. Inside, there is a fine closed-string dogleg staircase with wavy splat balusters, and a cast-iron basket grate in the rear bedroom.
