Description
Old Holt Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and some late 20th century alterations. It features a timber-frame construction with brick infill, a brick extension, and a machine tile roof. The building has two framed bays aligned in a north-west to south-east direction, with an additional brick bay at the north-west end. The south-west front is one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by three gabled dormers. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows: a 2-light window to the left and a 3-light window to the right. The entrance, located slightly to the right of centre, has a 19th century gabled and tiled porch with a 20th century door. The framing consists of two square panels high, and the gable truss features two struts to the collar.
