SO99NW CHURCH STREET, Heathtown 895-1/5/72 (East side) War Memorial in Park to E of Church of Holy Trinity

War memorial. c1920. Figure by G.A. (or A.G.) Walker of G.Fiorini Foundry. Bronze figure on granite base. Conical base, faced with crazy paving, has plinth to front with plaque recording monument and park as war memorial. Plinth has plaque to front inscribed with names; to right return a bronze relief of naval gunners; to left return a bronze relief of airmen and plane; to rear large and small plaques with names; top statue of soldier, (rifle missing), with good detail of uniform and kit. A war memorial notable for the quality of its sculpture.
