Description
The footbridge over the west end of Bentley Canal is a mid-19th century structure designed to carry the towpath over the canal branch. It is made of brick and cast iron, featuring a slightly segmental cast-iron arch with solid-cast lattice work parapets. The brick abutments and ramps at each end are topped with ashlar-coped parapets. This footbridge is similar in design to the footbridge at Broad Street Basin.
