Description
The lych gate located to the east of the Church of Holy Trinity is a memorial built around 1920. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a tiled roof with coped gables. The east elevation includes a pointed arch with mouldings that die into the jambs, along with an inscription and a cross on the gable. Flanking buttresses, which are gabled at the front and return, have traceried panels with slate inserts that are inscribed with names. Each return has two straight-headed windows, each containing two traceried lights, and there are low iron gates. The west elevation features lateral buttresses with panels inscribed with names from World War II, and a ribbed tunnel vault supported on shafts.
