Description

This milestone, located approximately 10 metres east of No 136, dates from around 1800. It is made of sandstone and features a cast-iron plate. The east side of the milestone is rounded and has an inscription that is mostly illegible, reading "115 (?) MILES FROM LONDON ..... 6 M..... WHAMPTON". The plate attached to the west side is also illegible.
