Description
This footbridge spans the Walsall Canal, which was opened in 1786, and is located near its junction with the Tame Valley Canal, opened in 1844. The bridge, built in the mid-19th century, is made of cast iron and features brick abutments topped with some sandstone copings. It has a single shallow segmental arch, and the sides are designed with a lattice pattern of saltire crosses.
