Description
The Church of St Martin is a church built between 1795 and 1797 by F Keyte of Kidderminster. It was partly rebuilt in the early 1960s due to subsidence damage. The church is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a hipped slate roof. It consists of a nave, a round west tower made of 20th-century brick that replaces an earlier taller structure, and a 20th-century brick chancel that replaces the chancel built between 1874 and 1876.
Both the north and south sides have five-bay arcades with round arches that spring from moulded imposts. Each arcade contains a round-headed window with a rusticated surround. At the west end, there are doorways on either side of the tower, which have been restored in artificial stone and feature an architrave and pediment. Inside, the church has a flat ceiling and galleries on three sides supported by slim iron columns.
