Description
The Bottom Lock at Ryder's Green Locks is part of a flight of eight locks on the Walsall Canal, completed in 1786. It is constructed of blue brick, featuring sandstone kerbs in the chambers, although some of these have been replaced with concrete. The lock has single gates and cast iron sluice gear located on each bank on the upstream side. It is situated approximately 400 metres from the second lock.
