Description
The fifth lock in a flight of eight on the Walsall Canal was completed in 1786. It is constructed of blue brick and features sandstone kerbs in the chambers, although some of these have been partly replaced by concrete. The lock has single gates and includes cast iron sluice gear on each bank of the upstream side. This lock is located approximately 330 meters northwest of Ryder's Green Road.
