Description
No 108 Gough Road is a tall, two-storey villa built between 1843 and 1850. It features a rather narrow three-bay front and a recessed service wing. The building is constructed of red brick with stucco trim, including a plinth and a stucco frieze adorned with acanthus ornament. The gable end slate roof has bracketed eaves and flanking chimneys. The villa has close-set fenestration, with first-floor sash windows set in eared, segmental arched architrave surrounds, complete with moulded sills on consoles. The ground floor features windows and a doorway in the right-hand bay, all of which are flanked by panelled stucco strips and elongated consoles that support faceted sections of entablature flanking the friezes, topped with dentil segmental pediments.
