No 104 Gough Road is a two-storey, three-bay villa built between 1840 and 1850, featuring stucco with Italianate details. The building has a plinth, quoin pilasters, and an applied parapet on the first floor with a coping that serves as a sill course. A frieze with a guilloche band is present, and the hipped slate roof has boxed flat eaves and flanking corniced chimneys. The windows are tall glazing bar sashes set in architrave surrounds, with elongated consoles supporting cornices. The central first-floor window has a segmental pediment, while the outer first-floor windows feature console-bracketed stucco balconettes with elaborately designed cast iron rails. There is a similar balcony on the roof of the Ionic column porch, which has a doorway in an architrave surround with a rectangular fanlight. The south side of the villa has quoin pilasters and other details that continue around the corner. In front of the recessed service wing, a screen wall connects to the coach house, which has segmental arched coach doors.
