123 Little Horton Lane

No 123 Little Horton Lane is a sandstone ashlar villa built around 1840-1850, notable for its Greek Revival architectural details, which are more pronounced than in other nearby buildings. The villa is two storeys high and features a three-bay front with a slight break in the centre. It has quoin pilasters, a plinth, a frieze cornice, and a blocking course, with a pediment above the central bay. The windows are shallowly revealed, and circa 1900 leaded casements have been inserted. The ground floor windows are adorned with cornices on long console brackets, topped with pedimented blocking courses and block antifixae. The entrance features a rather heavy pilastered doorway with a deep entablature and a pediment above. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, complemented by flanking chimneys that have cornices. There is a slightly recessed one-bay extension with a frieze and eaves cornice, also topped with a hipped slate roof.
