Description
Nos 92 and 93 New Street, located in the city centre, are a pair of buildings dating from the late 19th century. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys, plus a later attic, and feature three bays along with a polygonal corner entrance bay. The ground floor has modern shop fronts.
On the first floor, there is a central Serlian-type window flanked by two arched windows, all positioned above a moulded cornice and set within decorated panels. The second floor includes a central tripartite window and two additional windows, all supported by a moulded and dentilled cornice with eared moulded surrounds and cornices above. The eaves cornice is richly bracketed, with an end blocking course and an altered parapet above the attic.
The left-hand return on Ethel Street, which includes the entrance to No 3 Ethel Street, is styled similarly but has been altered.
