Description
Christchurch House, built around 1830, is a Grade II listed building located on Waterloo Street in the City Centre. This three-storey structure features a stucco exterior and consists of 13 bays arranged in a curve, partially overlooking Victoria Square. The ground floor is rusticated and includes an archway leading into Waterloo Passage, along with five doors set within moulded eared cases that have battered sides and prominent moulded cornices. The first floor has windows with blank panels below, framed by tall moulded eared surrounds that rest on a broad band, topped with cornices supported by brackets. The second floor windows are also in moulded eared surrounds. All windows are sash style and retain their glazing bars. The building is capped with a dentilled moulded eaves cornice.
