Description

Standard House, located at Nos 114 and 116 on Colmore Row in the City Centre, is an early 20th-century building designed in the Edwardian Baroque style. It is constructed of stone and features two storeys plus an additional two storeys and an attic, highlighted by a large portico that stands on segmental pediments above two windows with substantial Gibbsian surrounds and recessed outer bays. The ground floor includes a prominent central arched opening with a large keystone, set within banded rustication, flanked by two entrances. Each entrance is adorned with a circular window featuring garlands and has a heavy balcony above.
