Description

No 130 Colmore Row is an early 20th-century building in the Edwardian Baroque style, which also includes No 26 Waterloo Street. It is constructed of stone on a granite plinth and stands two storeys tall with three bays, plus a polygonal corner that features the entrance. The building exhibits banded rustication, with the ground floor showcasing three arched windows that have large keystones. The first floor features a temple front with three windows that have pediments arranged in a rhythm of segmental, triangular, and segmental shapes, supported by Ionic pilasters and columns that hold up a richly detailed pediment. The entrance is located beneath a large broken segmental pediment that displays a coat of arms. Above this, there are windows and a giant order of Ionic columns and piers, along with a clock and a cupola that features coupled columns in the diagonals. On the Waterloo Street side, there are three arched windows and the entrance to No 26 Waterloo Street, which includes a first-floor oriel window set between coupled Ionic pilasters that support a broken segmental pediment, along with four pedimented windows adorned with garlands above.
