Description
Nos 71 and 73 on Colmore Row are late 19th-century buildings made of stone, featuring four storeys and six bays. The ground floor has iron Corinthian columns with two shaft rings that create a rhythm of 2:2:2, and these columns support a delicately dentilled cornice. The first floor showcases arched windows set between Tuscan columns and piers on the outside, topped with an entablature that includes a triglyph frieze. The second floor has windows framed by moulded surrounds, positioned between unfluted Corinthian columns and piers, which also support an entablature with a delicately dentilled cornice. At the third floor, each bay contains a pair of small arched windows separated by granite columns. The building is finished with a dentilled eaves cornice and a blocking course.
