Description
55 Colmore Row is a late 19th-century stone building featuring a patterned slate pavilion roof. It has four storeys, a basement, and two tiers of attics, arranged in four bays with a curved return into Church Street. The ground floor showcases banded rustication and an open porch with a pediment, supported by granite columns and three arched windows. The first and second floors also have banded rustication, enhanced by stone pilasters and granite columns. The first-floor windows are topped with pediments, while the second-floor windows are arched and feature segmental pediments. The third-floor windows are arched and have balustrading below them. At the eaves, there is a balustrade with three arched attic windows, and the roof includes two small dormer windows. The return on Church Street is simpler in design.
