Description
Nos 274 and 275 on Monument Road are an early 19th-century semi-detached pair of houses. They are finished in stucco, with a roof that is concealed behind a cornice and blocking course. The buildings are two storeys high, each featuring three bays, with the central bay slightly advanced. The ground floor has a central door that is accessed by steps and set within an arched moulded surround, flanked by two windows, each within eared moulded surrounds. A cornice band runs at the level of the first-floor sills. The first floor is adorned with broad pilasters on either side and three windows; the central window is set within an eared moulded surround, while the other two are flanked by thin pilasters. All the windows are sash style.
