Description
This is an early 19th century pair of semi-detached houses located on Monument Road in Ladywood. They are constructed of stucco with a slate roof featuring wide eaves. The houses are two storeys high, each three bays wide, with giant pilasters that define the division between the pair and the ends. The ground floor has a central arched entrance leading up steps to a shallow porch, constructed with rusticated piers and a heavy entablature. There are two windows on the ground floor, each with moulded and eared surrounds. A band runs along the first floor level. The first floor has three windows, the central one slightly narrower than the others. Number 268 is currently vacant, while number 269 retains its original sash windows with glazing bars.
