Description
No. 1 Noel Road, located in Edgbaston, is an early 19th-century building. It features a stucco exterior and a slate roof adorned with a guilloche frieze and bracketed eaves cornice. The structure is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-bay facade facing Monument Road, plus an additional bay on the left that is the return of Noel House, distinguished by a pilaster.
The ground floor displays banded rustication and includes two windows set in shallow recesses. The entrance door to No. 265 Monument Road is panelled and flanked by sidelights, with decorative patterae and a cornice supported by coupled brackets. There is also another window in a shallow recess. A band runs at first floor level, which features four windows, with the window above the entrance to No. 265 in a deeper recess than the others. All windows are sashes with glazing bars and have blank panels beneath them.
On the left-hand return, the entrance to No. 1 Noel Road mirrors the three-bay facade of No. 265 Monument Road, with all windows also featuring glazing bars.
