3, Arthur Road B15

No 3 Arthur Road is a Grade II listed Italianate villa built around 1853, located on a corner site with Ampton Road. This two-storey stucco building features a set-back service wing to the left, which is screened by a yard wall that incorporates a coach house at the far end. The main façade has three bays and includes a plinth, a plat band, a moulded panelled frieze, and flat boxed eaves beneath a hipped slate roof.

At the centre of the front, there is a three-light dormer with a segmental cornice from the late 19th century, flanked by corniced chimney stacks that are linked by dormers on the sides. The windows are adorned with eared architrave surrounds, featuring consoles at the sills, pulvinated friezes, and moulded cornices. The ground floor cornices are linked by the plat band, and the central first-floor window has a segmental pediment above it.

A large central porch supported by Corinthian columns and pilasters leads to a revealed four-panel door topped with a semi-circular fanlight. To the right of the front, there is a single-storey projection with pilasters that forms the side of a canted bay, which is otherwise identical in its window design to the main front. To the left, the screen wall partially concealing the service wing has a segmental archway that leads into the coach house, which is visible behind the parapet.
