Description

Walker Hall is a former school built around 1840-1850, located on Ampton Road in Edgbaston. This modest one-storey building is constructed of red brick featuring burnt header diaper work and has slight Jacobean Gothic details. The main hall has a gabled break and an entrance link to a crosswing hall. The gables are adorned with saddlestones and kneelers. The windows are three and four light designs with diamond leaded lattice casements set in hollow chamfered sandstone mullions. The gable end roofs are finished with scalloped tiles.
