Description

Aston House is a villa dating to circa 1840, built in the Grecian style using stucco. The main front of the two-storey building has three bays, with a single-storey two-bay wing to the left and a recessed two-storey one-bay extension to the right, linked to a former coach house. The design features a plinth, channelled ground floor, a first-floor sill band, and deep flat eaves to a hipped slate roof with corniced chimneys. The windows are widely spaced, revealed, and have glazing bars. The central entrance has a broad projecting surround with paired consoles supporting draped ends of a frieze decorated with scrolled acanthus, and a large pediment above. The hipped slate roof of the former coach house has been modernised to create a garage.
