Description
The Lodge to Edgbaston Golf Club is a 19th-century building located on Church Road in Edgbaston. It is constructed of brick with stone lintels and features gauged brick segmental heads above the windows, topped by a slate roof. The entrance is arched and has a stone gable that projects on large painted stone brackets, supported by substantial painted stone shaped plinths at the arch. The eaves cornice is elaborately bracketed. There is a cluster of four chimney stacks with small slit arches between them. Flanking the drive are quadrant walls made of red brick with a blue brick plinth, featuring an upper part designed in an openwork pattern of alternating bricks and topped with stone coping. At the road end, there are piers that match the design of the walls, complete with a similar plinth, cornice, and blocking course.
