Description

Cavalier House is a mid-19th century brick building located on Hagley Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham. It features a slate roof and is two storeys tall, with a three-bay façade where the central bay is slightly advanced. The ground floor includes a segment-headed coach entrance, a subsidiary door, and a tripartite window topped with a bracketed cornice and a segmental superarch. There is also a six-panelled door set within a case that has a segmental pediment, along with another window featuring a segmental pediment. The ground floor windows are adorned with 'tassetts' below. On the first floor, there are two windows, a tripartite window, and two additional windows, all of which have feet, cornices supported by brackets, and rest on a sill band. All windows are sashes with glazing bars. The building is finished with a dentilled and moulded cornice topped by a blocking course.
