House now flats and attached railings. c1832, with later additions and alterations. Reddish-brown brick in English Garden Wall bond with painted stucco to front facade, concealed roof and cast-iron balcony and railings. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement and attic, full-height canted bay and 4 first-floor windows arranged 1:3. Ground floor: entrance to left, glazed double doors with divided overlight within projecting single-storey porch with round-arched opening. Casement windows to bay in splayed surrounds and with central blind box. First floor: 10-pane French window with plain reveals. Bay has central tall 3/3 sash between casements, plain reveals, sills. Second floor has casements throughout. Frieze, and cornice interrupted by casement to attic. Further tilt windows to bay with plain reveals. Copings, side and front stacks. Basement has glazed door and casement window. First-floor continuous balcony has figure-of-eight-and-circle balustrade. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railings have bars with anthemion finials and spear-headed dogbars. HISTORICAL NOTE: Dale Street was laid out in 1832, the east side built by 1834.
